This article covers the printing process using Sawgrass Print Manager on Windows. Please be advised that Windows 8 64 bit or greater is recommended for SPM to run on Windows.
There are 4 ways that you can print using the Sawgrass Print Manager, these are outlined below:
- Dropping a compatible file into the Sawgrass Hot Folder
- Using the Open Local File option within the SPM menu
- From your graphic software (Windows). Selecting File> Print and selecting the Sawgrass Print Manager as the printer.
- Printing from Creative Studio
Using the Sawgrass Hot Folder
Providing that the Sawgrass Print Manager is running in the background, it will scan the Sawgrass hot folder located on the desktop for any new files and load the SPM print settings window. You may copy/paste or drag&drop any JPEG, PNG, PDF files into the hot folder. You may also add multiple new custom hot folder from the SPM menu > Hot Folder manager.
Using Open Local File
To print using the Open Local File option, click on the SPM icon situated in the hidden icons menu, then click on Open Local File. You may then select a compatible file type such as JPEG, PNG or PDF.
Printing from your own graphic software (Windows)
To print from your own graphic software such as Photoshop or Illustrator, you may click File > Print, then select the Virtuoso Print Manager from the list of printers. Providing that the Virtuoso Print Manager software is running in the background, the SPM print settings will then be displayed.
Printing from CreativeStudio
To print from CreativeStudio, you can simply click on the print option within the CreativeStudio designer. It will then download the image as a Sawgrass file and, providing that the SPM software is running, then it will automatically load the SPM print settings window.
